Recuerdo aquel día que decidí dar un paseo río arriba. Era bien entrada la noche y todo parecía estar en completa calma. Sólo el sonido del agua deslizándose entre las rocas y los ruidos de algún que otro pájaro o roedor escondido entre las ramas y la maleza, confluían en completa harmonía con el ambiente de tranquilidad del bosque.
A cientos de metros de mi punto de partida me percaté de unos destellos azules que salían del siguiente recodo y me acerqué sigilosamente. Me escondí detrás de un árbol, sin hacer ruido… y allí estaba ella, a unos centímetros sobre el cauce del río, mirándose en el espejo que forma el agua mansa y al mismo tiempo siendo observada.

I remember that day I decided to take a walk up the river. It was late at night and all seemed completely calm. Only the sound of water sliding between rocks and odd noises or rodent bird hidden among the branches and undergrowth, came together in complete harmony with the tranquility of the forest environment.
A hundred yards from my starting point I noticed blue flashing lights coming out of the next turn and went quietly. I hid behind a tree, without a sound … and there she was, a few inches above the riverbed, looking in the mirror that is the still water while being watched.
